Africa Express Presents... Bahidorá

The globally acclaimed music phenomenon Africa Express is back with a brand new studio album entitled ‘Africa Express presents... Bahidorá’, recorded in Mexico and bringing together artists and musicians from four continents. The groundbreaking music collective has been uniting artists from different countries and genres for over two decades in radically creative collaborations where anything can and does happen.

With the idea of bringing artists from different cultures, genres and generations together to perform and make music, Africa Express was founded in 2006 with a trip to Mali that brought together local stars Toumani Diabaté, Bassekou Kouyaté and Amadou & Mariam with artists such as co-founder Damon Albarn, Martha Wainwright and Fatboy Slim.

Every Africa Express performance is unique, full of spontaneous moments of magic, collaboration and discovery. In 2024, Africa Express headlined the Bahidorá Festival in Mexico, a journey that brought together an extraordinary group of musicians, singers and DJs from around the world to rehearse, perform and write new music on the shores of the ancient springs of Bahidorá. The result is ‘Africa Express presents ... Bahidorá’, a completely original, unique collection of 21 songs featuring an exceptional line-up of talent from Mexico, South America, Africa, the USA and the UK, including:
