It is the soundtrack to Jim Henson's fantasy adventure film of the same name, in which Bowie himself can be seen as Jareth, the Goblin King.
The album was originally released on MC and LP in 1986. The first CD release followed in 1989.
“Labyrinth“ contains instrumental tracks by Trevor Jones (”Into the Labyrinth“, ‘Sarah’, ‘Hallucination’, ‘The Goblin Battle’, ‘Thirteen O'Clock’, ‘Home At Last’) as well as a few sung tracks by David Bowie (”Magic Dance”, ‘Chilly Down’, ‘As The World Falls Down’, ‘Within You’, ‘Underground’).
