Delivery

Your order will be sent out as soon as all items are on stock. Items marked as “Available for immediate delivery” usually will be sent out within 24 hours. In order to wait for potentially missing stock, your order can be on hold for up to 4 weeks until all products are available. After those 4 weeks all available items will be sent out. Products not included need to be re-ordered.

Ike Quebec's final album "Bossa Nova Soul Samba" put the tenor saxophonist's unique spin on the bossa nova craze sweeping the jazz world in 1962. Ike's sensual tone imbues the breezy Brazilian vibe with a soulful dose of the blues to create a mellifluous masterpiece featuring Kenny Burrell on guitar, Wendell Marshall on bass, Willie Bobo on drums, and Garvin Masseaux on chekere. The sublime set weaves together Brazilian tunes, classical themes, and originals by Quebec and Burrell into a seamless tapestry. In a bittersweet twist of fate, Quebec's artistic resurgence would be cut short just 3 months later when he died of lung cancer at age 44.

BLUE NOTE TONE POET EDITION: Stereo, produced by Joe Harley, mastered by Kevin Gray from the original analogue master tapes, pressed on 180g vinyl at RTI, and packaged in a gatefold sleeve with deluxe tip-on jacket.
