Your order will be sent out as soon as all items are on stock. Items marked as “Available for immediate delivery” usually will be sent out within 24 hours. In order to wait for potentially missing stock, your order can be on hold for up to 4 weeks until all products are available. After those 4 weeks all available items will be sent out. The Boston Symphony Orchestra and its then principal conductor, William Steinberg, only made a few recordings for Deutsche Grammophon in 1970/71. However, these recordings of 20th-century masterpieces are still considered unsurpassed today.

One of these is Gustav Holst’s The Planets, which was recorded in 1970. This performance features powerful passages, precise orchestral playing, and nuanced sound. The seven-movement suite ranges from the mighty 'Mars' to the softly fading 'Neptune'.

The audiophile vinyl series The Original Source presents outstanding recordings from the 1970s in a whole new sound quality. For this, the renowned Emil Berliner Studios have remastered and cut the original four- and eight-track tapes in 100% analog quality (AAA) using technologies developed specifically to produce the series. The sonic differences to the original releases are considerable: greater clarity, more subtleties and improvements in frequency response, while at the same time less background noise, distortion and compression allow for an audiophile listening experience like never before.

Pressed on 180 g vinyl and released as a deluxe gatefold edition, featuring the original covers and liner notes, as well as additional photographs and facsimiles of the recording logs and tape boxes. Due to high demand, an unnumbered reissue is now being released.
